Carlos Hermosillo is a retired Mexican soccer player who was born on August 24, 1964, in Cerro Azul, Veracruz, Mexico. He is considered one of the greatest Mexican strikers of all time and had a successful career both domestically and internationally.
Hermosillo began his professional career in 1984 with Club America in Mexico, where he played for several seasons and became their all-time top scorer. He also had stints with Cruz Azul and Monterrey in Mexico before moving to the United States to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
Hermosillo also had a successful international career, representing Mexico in multiple Copa America and World Cup tournaments. He was known for his goal-scoring prowess and ability to find the back of the net with both his feet and head.
